Q- Where Do I start?

A- Look at our helpful pages about our products; if you have further questions, call us; we are happy to help. When you’re ready to place your order, please call our office at (425)-885-1821. We can usually deliver the same day or the next. We deliver Monday-Saturday.
Q- How Much Do I need?

A- The only true way to know the correct yardage is to measure all of your areas: length (by foot), width (by foot), and depth (by inch). Then call us, and we will help you with the calculations to figure out how much you need. One yard covers a 10’ by 10’ area 3 “deep and 100 sq ft.
Q- Do You Deliver?

A- Yes! We deliver Monday through Saturday with a quick turnaround. Give the office a call for pricing. We would love to help!
Q- Where is Your Pricing?

A- You may be interested in why we do not list our prices on our Website. We want to talk to you personally to ensure you have the correct amount and type of product you need. Our goal is to ensure you are happy with the products we supply. We know the significant time and effort everyone places into their yards, so we are here to help. No question is too silly, and no amount is too small!
Q- What Can You Tell Me About Growing Grass?

A- The secret to a beautiful lawn is water transition. Grass likes 6 inches of good sandy soil and does not like layering. So, it is always best to incorporate the new soil with your existing soil. If you put a couple of inches of fresh soil down, till it in (if you can) with your existing soil, then pack it. If using seed, the seed goes on top of the soil. Lastly, spread a very light “hand-spread” amount of our Fertil-Mulch©. This will help keep the birds away and retain moisture. Look at our topsoil page; we offer two types of soil mixes: Garden Mix and All-Purpose.

We sell the product: we are not professionals. Please consult a lawn professional to ensure you are going about your grass project correctly. As with all gardening, follow the instructions on the type of seed you purchase.

Who Can You Trust?

Are you receiving the product from de Jong’s Sawdust & Shavings that you want when using a third party for delivery?

It has come to our attention that a few companies whom we recommend to deliver our products are not always using our products, but, in fact, are using inferior products. When using a third party to deliver a de Jong product, always ask to see the receipt from the original supplier. We always give purchasers a pink load receipt listing the product and quantity sold.

We take great pride in our hard work maintaining our high-quality products. Our mission is for you, our customers, to have safe products for your gardens, family, and animals. We use our products at our homes because we proudly stand by the name de Jong.

Bedding Customers

Manure Disposal

Please call for pricing and information; we will gladly assist you. We accept “clean” (manure and bedding only: no yard waste, garbage, wood debris, etc.) manure at our Lake Stevens location. Topsoils Northwest in Snohomish at 7019 E Lowell Larimer RD also accepts “clean” manure.

For larger farms, we supply a container removal service. Please call the office and ask for Kimberley to receive all the information and current availability.

Shavings Bins

Building a bedding bin? We recommend you call our office before you start. We can help you with the size and placement to ensure our trucks can access the location and place as many shavings as possible.
